Make it stand out.

After spending some time at The Federal Bank of Chicago, the group I was with decided to walk to The Lexington Hotel on Michigan Ave. Britney & I decided not to go in given it’s history with the paranormal. Instead, we decided to walk around and take some photos to incorporate some street style photography.

Finally, after walking around for a few, we came across a more urban environment. So I decided to shoot some black & whites straight out of camera (SOOC). I like these types of photos because I get too combine all of my styles with street & fashion to tell a story.

Again, we’re using the urban environment to express ourselves. At this point, tbh, we were talking about our love/hate relationship with the “industry”, and how important it is to keep creating to maintain your spark. It’s important to remember why you do what you do.

It’s giving… Chicago.

I decided to shoot a little bit of portra 400 to show the warmth of the day, knowing that winter is just right around the corner. I love how she’s sitting there without a care in the world of perfection, being that my perfection is imperfection. We ended this set because our friends that were at the hotel called us up and said to head back, and it was time to eat!
